We have seen that the dominance of Google AdSense has grown so much in the markets lately because the revenue stream that it offers. Basically, for those who don’t know about Google AdSense then it is the platform where you get your revenue from regarding the ads you show on your content. You get your revenue on AdSense even if you use YouTube or show ads on your website/blog or any other platform. Now, it can be a hit or a miss when it comes to earning money because we have seen that you can make millions as well as nothing from time to time on the platform.

However, we are not here to tell you about tips to increase AdSense revenue. We are here to tell you about a warning that is seen frequently on Google AdSense dashboard. This applies only to website owners and SEOs who show ads on their content. Because the warning shows that your “Earnings are at Risk” and the reason is that an “ads.txt file is missing” which can only be uploaded on individual websites and not on YouTube channels.

Talking about this ads.txt file, you need to upload this file on every website that you own so that AdSense can be able to verify ownership of your website and send out your earnings. Here is the exact warning message that Google is showing: “To prevent severe impact on revenue, download an ads.txt file then upload the file to the root level domain of each site.”

While the warning message seems to be worded very dangerously, it is not that dangerous or serious in reality. You just need to upload the ads.txt file to root domain of your website and the warning will be gone in the next few days. However, this means that you now need to have the same AdSense account with which the website was approved as you will need to upload a file to get your earnings from other sites.
