YouTube shorts green screen will now work with any videos. They can do this through the green screen feature. Before, one could utilize a green screen to create Shorts with other short videos on YouTube.
Now, any video can get turned into a YouTube short. Using the green screen effect, one can overlay footage of yourself on top of the background video. The feature is also commonly a way to react to or provide commentary on other videos. Or it can get used for a comedic purpose.
There are plenty of options to make creative short videos with a green screen effect. For example, one can take a famous clip and superimpose yourself over one of the individuals featured in it.
A YouTube representative stated, “Green Screen is the latest way to remix with Shorts – building on Cut that began to roll out last month. With Green Screen, you can use any eligible YouTube video or Short as the background for your original Short video.”In addition, one will get all options to use other YouTube videos with the sound on or off.
One can use the Green Screen option by following easy steps. First, navigate to a video you want to use and select Create > Green Screen on the menu of options underneath. Alternatively, one can press the 3-dot menu in the Shorts player and select Green Screen.
The maximum length of the video is 60 seconds. Creators will get full credit for the original video when their content gets remix into a Short. This is a whole new way for YouTube shorts to expand their audience.
The only content that can’t get sampled is music videos and other videos with visual claims. If one prefers not to have your content used in a Short, one can opt-out via a setting in YouTube Studio. Green Screen is also starting to gradually roll out on the iOS YouTube app. In the coming months, it is going to become available for everyone on iOS and Android.
