We know that Elon Musk is very weird and extremely hard to understand when it comes to taking decisions and we can say that he is very unpredictable in a very weird manner as well. Talking about Elon Musk, he has acquired Twitter since last year and has been taking decisions for the platform that are extremely hard to understand apart from the fact that he has laid off 90% of Twitter employees and the platform is still running well which shows that the company was bloated. We already knew ever since Elon Musk left OpenAI board that he will do something related to AI since Google, Microsoft and others are going gaga over AI.

Right on cue, Elon Musk has announced the launch of his new AI organization named xAI which is meant to “understand the true nature of the universe” as told by Musk himself. It also feels like Elon Musk has an obsession with the X branding as he has already named Twitter as X Corp. Musk says that he wants to have an everything app called X which will be able to do everything from a single point. While the official announcement will be done on Friday, TechCrunch notes that “Many of the founding members specialize in large language models along the lines of OpenAI’s GPT-4 or have experience in techniques like reinforcement learning, which teaches AI models to accomplish tasks by rewarding them for performing those tasks”.

So, as we mentioned earlier, the company will focus on developing a LLM of its own and most possibly deploy it on Twitter as well as other organizations that Musk owns which means that we might have AI on a Tesla soon as well. Earlier this year, on Tucker Carlson’s interview show, Musk said that he wants to build “TruthGPT” which will be a “maximum-truth-seeking AI.” and it is most likely that the first thing xAI builds will be on the lines of this. Elon Musk, earlier this year, criticized the OpenAI team for being sucked into the money-making rabbit hole as he wanted OpenAI to remain open-source and help the world.
