During COVID times, it is getting harder for businesses and customers to interact with each other. Thus, in response to this pandemic, Google has launched a beta test noting “curbside pickup” in local inventory ads to help local shoppers with the products they need and promote safer fulfillment options, like an in-store and curbside pickup.

This also empowers the local retailers so they can keep going with their business. As of now, this update entails only essential products from brick-and-mortar retailers that allows a safer and contactless movement of inventory.

As of now, local inventory ads have been launched in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the U.S.
