How to participate in GoDaddy auctions
We all know that domains are very useful and essential when you want to build a brand for yourself which may be personal as well as professional. But did you know that there is a business related to domains as well? Yes, the business we are talking about is called Domain Investing.
And people hold off on the domains they think are worth investing in after a lot of research and patience, they sell the domains to prospective buyers at much more value than they originally invested in.
Now, you would think that investing in a domain is easy and researching the domains people might be interested in should also be manageable.
However, the problem lies in reaching the prospective buyers as well as sealing the deal. You would be thinking about how you can do that. Well, we have an answer for you in this article.
The simple answer to that question of yours is GoDaddy Auctions. You would have known that GoDaddy is the best marketplace for buying domains of your choice.
But you might not be aware that GoDaddy is also the best place for selling those domains. This is with the help of GoDaddy Auctions which is kind of like Auctions generally but for Domains.
In the GoDaddy Auctions, people would have to bid for the domains they would like to buy and have the bid reach its highest point until the auction period ends.
Once the auction period ends, the highest bidder of that particular domain wins the domain and then the domain is transferred from the current owner to the new owner who won in the GoDaddy Auctions.
Now, you would say that sound great but how can you put your domain in GoDaddy Auctions. Well, that is fairly easy as well and in this article, we are going to talk more about GoDaddy Auctions as well.
First of all, you will have to find a domain that you are interested in selling. Once you have found that, let’s move ahead and list our domain for sale on GoDaddy Auctions
How to Sell Domain in GoDaddy Auctions?
For this, you will have to create an account on the GoDaddy Auctions platform which will let you place any amount of domains that you want up for auctions.
On the platform, you will have to click “Join Now” to become a member of the GoDaddy Auctions platform.
There will be a membership fee involved in this which you will have to pay and checkout with that membership which will last for 1 year from the date of purchase.
This means that you can place any amount of domains that you want while you are a member of GoDaddy Auctions.
That is all, you will now be a member of the GoDaddy Auctions panel and you can list any number of domains that you want.
Once you are a member, you can visit the GoDaddy Auctions website and click on the “List A Domain” section.
After this, you will be able to list the domain that you want to sell in the next screen. Here, you will have to enter the domain along with your TLD such as .com or .net etcetera.
After that, you will also have to select the listing type such as Offer, Counter Offer or Buy Now option. If you select the Offer option, you will get an offer from someone who is willing to buy the domain and you can tell him if the offer is accepted or not.
As far as Offer/Counter Offer is concerned, you can counter offer which will be higher than the offer a buyer has originally placed.
In the Buy Now option, you will list a fixed price for the domain that you are selling and if a buyer agrees to that price, the domain will be won by them.
Once you have listed the domain and have filled every detail, you will just have to click on the Finish button down below and your listing will go live within a matter of minutes.
Now, the GoDaddy dashboard will show you if you have any offer or not. Once the GoDaddy auction period, which is generally of a week, finishes and the domain is still unsold, you can re-list the domain for auction and try your luck once again.
Now, you would be thinking about the reason why GoDaddy Auctions charges a yearly fee to buy and sell the domains. Well, this is for the benefit of us users only.
Because when you have something for paid rather than free, the chances of having people who might be fake is next to none.
Therefore, you have a better chance of selling your domain on GoDaddy Auctions as opposed to some other platforms where you can freely list your domain for sale.
That being said, GoDaddy is still a huge platform for domain selling and you are definitely going to find a buyer if you list the domain on GoDaddy because it has huge traffic even on its Auctions website as well.
