Apple looks set to unveil new Mac Mini and iPad Mini This October
Apple is gearing up for a significant product announcement later this month, with new Macs and an updated iPad Mini expected to take center stage. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, these exciting updates could be officially revealed in late October, with availability slated for November 1st.
Among the anticipated updates, the revamped Mac Mini is generating considerable buzz. Rumored to be roughly the size of an Apple TV, the new Mac Mini will feature a significant physical redesign coupled with the powerful M4 chip. Notably, the M4 Pro variant is expected to offer an impressive range of connectivity options, although it will not include any USB-A ports—a shift that may require users to adapt to newer connectivity standards.
In addition to the Mac Mini, Apple is expected to unveil M4 versions of several other models, including the base 14-inch MacBook Pro, as well as the high-end 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro variants and an updated iMac. This rollout is part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to enhance performance across its product line, showcasing the capabilities of its latest chip technology.
On the tablet front, the iPad Mini is also set for a long-awaited refresh. While it may not feature any major physical changes, the new model is anticipated to include a comprehensive spec bump—its first upgrade since 2021—making it a welcome improvement for fans of the compact tablet.
Looking ahead, Gurman reports that Apple has an ambitious lineup planned for the first half of 2025. This includes M4-equipped MacBook Airs, a redesigned iPhone SE, refreshed iPad Airs, and new Magic Keyboards. Additionally, a new AirTag is expected to join the lineup, further enhancing Apple’s ecosystem of products.
Apple may also address its professional-grade offerings, with updates to the Mac Studio and Mac Pro likely to arrive later in 2025. These models have yet to see an upgrade in the current M3 cycle, and their anticipated refreshes will be closely watched by creatives and professionals alike.
As the tech giant prepares for its late October event, excitement is building among consumers and industry watchers alike. Stay tuned for the official announcement and details on pricing and availability.
